THOSE HURRICANES

By: "Hurricane" Gordon Price

@2005

I spent my life dreaming of the ocean

I lived my days next to the sea

I navigate in color with emotion

God threw away the charts when he made me

Sometimes I wonder, where did I go wrong

I look around me, just to find that special song

I have my compass, to steer me back to shore

With my crew and sturdy ship

What more could I ask for

CHORUS

{

You got to, sail on through those hurricanes

Don’t let those mighty winds, blow you off course again

You got to, toughen up, and take it like a man

The world is for the taking

Let’s make a pirates stand !

You got to, sail on through those hurricanes

Rig up those sails, and hoist them up again

You got to, set that anchor, in a strong spot in the reef

Check your heading

Before you show your teeth !

You have to lighten up, to handle that mother load

You have to spread some joy, before you get too old

Well the winds are light, in the eye of that storm

You need to, make a difference

That’s the reason we were born !

}

(INSTRUMENTAL CHORUS RUN)

This magnificent journey, is almost over now

I see those lights off the starboard bow

No need to worry about where I’m heading toward

It’s not the destination, it’s the trip we are living for!
